Why Core Academics Must Be Our Focus in the Classroom
In recent years, classrooms have become crowded with distractions—shifting priorities, new educational trends, and divisive social debates have all taken focus away from what truly matters: core academics. Math, reading, and science are the essential subjects that provide students with the skills they need to succeed in life. These are the foundations of a quality education, and they must remain the primary focus of our classrooms.
I’m Rachel Librach, and if elected to the El Dorado County Office of Education Board, I will ensure that our schools return to teaching the essential subjects that every student needs. We cannot afford to let external distractions pull attention away from the core academic skills that are the building blocks of lifelong success. Math, reading, and science are not just subjects—they are the tools that allow students to think critically, solve complex problems, and understand the world around them.
By refocusing on these core academic subjects, we can ensure that every student receives a high-quality education that prepares them for the challenges of the future. I will advocate for curriculum improvements that prioritize academic rigor, critical thinking, and real-world applications of these essential skills.
Call to Action: Vote for Rachel Librach to make sure our classrooms stay focused on what matters most—our children’s education. Together, we can create a school system that prioritizes the success of every student.
