The Importance of Transparency in Education: Trust Starts Here
Transparency is more than just a buzzword—it’s the foundation of a trustworthy and accountable education system. As parents, we are the first educators in our children’s lives, and schools should work with us, not against us. Too often, though, decisions are made without parents' knowledge or input. That’s not how education should work. I’m Rachel Librach, and I am running for the El Dorado County Office of Education Board to ensure that parents are fully informed and involved in every decision affecting their children’s education.
When schools are transparent, they build trust—trust between parents, teachers, and students. That trust is essential for students to feel supported and for parents to feel confident that their children are receiving the best possible education. Schools should always be willing to share information about curriculum, safety policies, student progress, and any other factors that affect the learning environment.
As your representative, I will push for greater transparency at every level of our educational system. I will advocate for open communication channels between schools and families, and I will ensure that parents are never left in the dark about what’s happening in their child’s classroom. Your voice matters, and you deserve to be heard.
Call to Action: Trust Rachel Librach to be your voice on the El Dorado County Office of Education Board. Together, we will build a system of transparency and trust, where parents are always informed and students always come first.
